The easiest way to find out if this is the problem is to temporarily disable your antivirus software and log in to Outlook as usual. If the prompts go away, you'll know it was the antivirus software. If you used the workaround below you can now switch from using an Outlook.com alias to your country's domain. Then, each item in your calendar folder is checked for known problems that can cause unexpected behavior, such as meetings that step-by-step Outlook troubleshooting seem to be missing.
