This moves message size metrics to be before IPC (and before truncation) and removes three metrics. JSDialogs.CountOfJSDialogMessageCharacters is removed; JSDialogs.CharacterCount.MainFrame/Subframe is replacing it. JSDialogs.CountOfJSDialogMessageNewlines is not useful as we do rectangular truncation. JSDialogs.CharacterCountUserSuppressed was just broken as it was gated by "if (did_suppress_message)", and "did_suppress_message" was a non-null bool pointer. Start of support for screen magnification on chromecast. Consists of: * A port of PartialMagnificationController from Ash to Cast. Note that the first patchset is a direct copy, with modifications in subsequent patch sets, so a diff with patchset 1 will show the modifications made. * A base interface (MagnificationController) for implementations, as we will probably port fullscreen magnification as well. * Installation of the PartialMagnificationController on the root window via the window manager, but currently disabled. This worker function is designed to test the behaviour of the partition allocator by restricting the amount of memory available and then intentionally exhausting it. Doing this leaves some of the global state associated with the allocator in a bad state. Thus these tests are non-hermetic. This Cl wraps up the call to the work function in a EXPECT_DEATH to force the test to be run its own process, which prevents the tests from poluting other tests. This removes the need to have them in their own class and eliminates the flakiness being seen, since run order no longer affects the viability of future test cases. Text is lower-level than fonts, and having two-sided dependency makes things harder to reason about. This patch does a couple of small changes to eliminate the text->fonts dependency: - Move LayoutLocale to platform/text. - Replace Hyphenation::MinimumPrefixWidth with FontDescription::MinimumPrefixWidthToHyphenate. - Move LayoutLocale::PerThreadData to a separate ThreadSpecific local, instead of reusing FontGlobalContext. This also brings encapsulation of PerThreadData to the private implementation of LayoutLocale. - Remove stray include of Glyph from TextRun. GCD API was used to make sure that completion callbacks are called during the app shutdown. Calling completion handler is required by WKWebView, otherwise web view throws an exception. This CL uses WebThread::PostTask instead of GCD behind feature flag. This will allow to run an experiment to see if using WebThread::PostTask leads to crashes during app shutdown. WebThread::PostTask is preferable for testing, because there is no good way to wait until GCD tasks are completed in a unit test. Add observers automatically, which allows constructing the MCP and the adapter inline. To support this, split ListObservable into an interface and an implementation class ListObservableImpl, so that RecyclerViewAdapter.Delegate extends ListObservable. Also, remove the payload type (which currently is Void everywhere) from SimpleRecyclerViewMcp and its ViewBinder. It will be reintroduced in a dedicated MCP class for adapters that do support partial binding. Currently, the "Sync is possible but disabled by the user" state is very hard to reach: On non-Android, the only way is to trigger a "Reset Sync" from the dashboard (and on non-ChromeOS, that also signs you out, so there's really no way at all to reach that state). This CL adds buttons to request start/stop to about:sync-internals, to make it easy to reach this state for testing. When running the GPU process for the OOP-D display compositor with GL disabled don't collect GPUInfo. This matches the behaviour without OOP-D where there GPU process isn't even started. We are seeing the GPU process crashes with OOP-D before the browser gets a GPUInfo object back and this may be the cause. This CL fixes the most common keyboard accessory crashes for 69. Before it, the filling coordinator removed the exact instance of a held password sheet from the accessory. It would crash when the password tab wasn't part of the accessory anymore - maybe due to race conditions. With this implementation, the filling coordinator just resets all tabs of the accessory. As it's the owner of the accessory, this just forces it into a sane state (which is exactly what the reset is meant to do). Next up: Removing remove methods. Also migrate the audio service to it. We want to add audio processing capabilities to the audio service, and the media/ code cannot depend on services/audio/, so we need the AudioInputController code in the audio service. There's a very sketched design doc for processing in the audio service at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HJnii4kuBXshVM202TVPJt_9iDmlaCX-VhatjRxRbC4/edit#.
