This patch addresses a performance regressions introduced by https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/d9b56fbb6c14e83389dfff002d43ff06edacdde8 The root cause here was performance hit caused by additional page faults that were occurring because the CanvasResourceProvider was unnecessarily holding on to the last recording. The Canvas2DLayerBridge::FlushRecording would have previously cleared the recording right away inside if (!clear_frame_ || !resource_host_ || !resource_host_->IsPrinting()) { last_recording_ = nullptr; clear_frame_ = false; } because we moved the recording to the resource provider this was not happening anymore. Fix is to not hold on to the recording in the resource provider. WebLayer doesn't have an implementation for determining if a site is "important" so it always returns false. It seems the fetch_important parameter is only used (set to true) for ManageSpaceActivity, which is launched from android settings UI, so it may never be relevant for WebLayer. The normal page, settings>site settings>storage, doesn't make the distinction. See screenshot on bug. When "Learn more" links are displayed on top of a clickable row, they had two potential click events: opening the URL in a browser tab as well as any other custom click handler. In the case of the Android apps link, clicking "Learn more" would cause the URL to open as well as navigating to the Android apps section. This CL fixes this by preventing propagation of the click event. Most of it is boring and behavior-preserving, but in two tests it replaces FAIL() with ADD_FAILURE() in helper functions. In helper functions, FAIL() is just an early return; now the test would correctly register a failure. (The two tests still pass with the change.)
