In the first attempt to add a DidCommitAndDrawCompositorFrame event to Chrome, I used the wrong message mechanism and inadvertently caused a massive performance regression (Change Ic1d349fd80cc1f877a3a8a604ec4266452a8186d). A subsequent fix (change I20e6fa6dbe1fd30f1529d6dda20e6208ae719bd1) removed the faulty queue message call, but also silenced the event. This fix reintroduces the event so that WebContentsObserver can monitor Chrome paint events. This reverts commit 0dd63a33. Reason for revert: Causes flakiness for a large number of tests. See crbug.com/882951 Original change's description: > Canvas/WebGL: Defer commits to limit queued frames. > > This change adds more backpressure to Canvas/WebGL rendering in GPU > bound situations. > > Before, the renderer could have three or four frames of drawing commands > queued and waiting for execution by the GPU process. The GPU process > does not know which drawing commands are associated with which display > frame. Sometimes it would run multiple frames of queued drawing commands > in one display frame, causing frame rate hiccups. > > Now when the TextureLayer has more than one buffer in flight, it calls > DeferCommits to block the next requestAnimationFrame callback from > running until one of the buffers is returned, indicating that the GPU > process has executed the commands for that frame. The shorter pipeline > reduces latency and prevents the GPU process from trying to execute > multiple Canvas/WebGL frames in one display frame. > > Bug: 835353, 879658 > Cq-Include-Trybots: luci.chromium.try:android_optional_gpu_tests_rel;luci.chromium.try:linux_layout_tests_slimming_paint_v2;luci.chromium.try:win_optional_gpu_tests_rel;master.tryserver.blink:linux_trusty_blink_rel > Change-Id: I7e5484add5fbd79757b205b1124ed7c2c5836dbb > Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/1199699 > Commit-Queue: Eric Karl <ericrk@chromium.org> > Reviewed-by: Sunny Sachanandani <sunnyps@chromium.org> > Reviewed-by: Chris Harrelson <chrishtr@chromium.org> > Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/master@{#589784} TBR=chrishtr@chromium.org,sunnyps@chromium.org,ericrk@chromium.org # Not skipping CQ checks because original CL landed > 1 day ago. Currently N-up conversion uses physical page size to fit N pages onto one sheet. So we need to fit the N-upped document into printable area before sending to the UI or a printer. In printing, 2-up, 3-up, or more generally N-up refers to a page layout strategy in which multiple pages are composited onto a single page. This CL splits OfflineItemModel into OfflineItemModelData and OfflineItemModel. OfflineItemModelData is equivalent to DownloadItemModelData, which stores the long lasting states that need to be accessed by UI code. OfflineItemModel is a short lived object constructed from OfflineItem, which simply provides all information for UI to display. When running SitePerProcessBrowserTouchActionTest, I found that when the effective touch action is Pan, the white listed touch action is Auto. This is clearly wrong because the white listed touch action is set from the effective touch action. This CL fixes the problem by propagating the effective touch action to document's layout view in style adjuster. It also changes the test to get the whitelisted touch action. In PS#2, we comment out the fix in style_adjuster.cc, and we can see that these 3 browser tests failed. The tests pass in PS#3 when putting the fix back. As of https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/1211106 automation will fire focus and blur events at the beginning of an event "bundle". Focus will always come first from automation_custom_bindings.js, which tracks the currently focused object and whether it has changed. In ChromeVox, we can now more predictably use this fact to sync ChromeVox range after the panel is closed. In particular, the next focus event will be either fired upon the content being acted upon by a menu command, or as a target of an incremental search or jump command. In all cases, first clear the focus by setting focus on the root. This is crucial for clearing the initial focus, which may be at the last position the user navigated. This is not necessarily where we want to be (e.g. when syncing to a heading for the next heading command). Bug: 881495 Test: exercise manually: incremental search, control lists (e.g. headings list), and command list. Makes AshTestHelper supply a test GpuInterfaceProvider. The test version queues up the requests and never binds them. This way, any code requesting an interface doesn't get a closed pipe and do something weird. This also makes TearDown() reset the context factory and context factory private on Env. This is important as aura::Env is often created in the test suite and long lived, where as AshTestHelper creates the factories. This changes the logic for when we proxy for web request a bit. Instead of waiting for the first listener/rule to be set, we listen for an extension to be loaded that has web request permissions. This allows us to proxy earlier in startup, and prevents resetting URLLoaderFactories during the first navigation. All crash reports can be put in two category: 1. The InputEventAckState can be NON_BLOCKING at InputRouterImpl::OnTouchEventAck, in this case, we should just set the allowed touch action to Auto. 2. TouchActionFilter can start filtering gesture event without an ack for a touch sequence start. In both cases, we set the allowed touch action to Auto.
